MANILA, Philippines — The arrival of the 117,000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine in the country will be delayed due to a hitch in paperwork processing,  National Task Force Against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon said Thursday.

The delivery of the vaccines, however, can still be expected this month, he added.

“‘Yung ating first 117,000 na Pfizer vaccines, nagkaroon ng kaunting delay dahil sa processing ng mga dokumento with the Covax facility and the World Health Organization,” he said in a Palace briefing.

(There has been a delay in the processing of documents with Covax and WHO)

“Pero kampante tayo na darating ito sa mga susunod na linggo, within the month of February,” Dizon added.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque earlier said the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are expected to arrive in the country in mid-February.
