2 suspected drug dealers dead, 1 wounded in Bicol cop operations
LEGAZPI CITY –– At least two alleged drug pushers were killed, and another was wounded in a shootout with anti-narcotics police in separate drug stings on Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 10 and 11), in the Bicol region, a police report said.
The first fatality was identified as Abdul Jalil Baute, a high-value target drug pusher, who allegedly resisted arrest and died in a firefight with police operatives in Barangay Bautista, Labo, Camarines Norte around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Recovered from the crime scene were a 9-mm Luger handgun, two sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), and P500 in marked money.
In Legazpi City, Albay, Ronaldo Broso Durado, allegedly another high-value target drug dealer, died in a shootout with police in Barangay Bagumbayan around 4:30 a.m., also on Thursday.
The police said they recovered a .38 caliber revolver, a sachet of shabu, and P500 marked money from Durado.
In Naga City, Camarines Sur, Angel Amaro, 40, an alleged drug trader from Barangay Concepcion Pequeña, was wounded in a shootout with police around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in a drug sting at Almeda Highway, Barangay Concepcion Grande.
