Pagasa: LPA off Mindanao dissipates; expect warmer weather as ‘amihan’ weakens
MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area east of Mindanao has dissipated, while the northeast monsoon bringing cooler weather across the country has weakened, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its Thursday morning bulletin.
Pagasa said the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, would bring warm weather all over the country.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, however, are likewise expected within the day.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain affected areas.
