Kalinga gov tests positive for COVID-19

BAGUIO CITY –– Kalinga Gov. Ferdinand Tubban on Tuesday, Feb. 9, announced that he had contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The result of his reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test came out on Monday, according to the Facebook post of the Kalinga provincial government.

Tubban has asked those who came in contact with him recently to monitor their health conditions and observe symptoms of the disease.

It was not immediately known how Tubban got infected with COVID-19.
