Romblon down to 1 active Covid-19 case
LUCENA CITY – The island – province of Romblon has only one remaining active Covid-19 case virus carrier in Santa Fe town, health authorities disclosed on Friday, Feb. 5.
The Romblon provincial health office, in its 10 a.m. report, revealed that the remaining five validated virus carriers in Romblon town have recovered, thus making the capital of the province another COVID – free locality.
The local government of Santa Fe said the patient, a 34-year-old woman has been asymptomatic and was on her 7th day of confinement at the local isolation facility.
“She will just have to complete the mandatory 14-day isolation before she could be considered as a recovered patient,” the local authorities declared on social media on Friday.
The province has logged a total of 131 COVID-19 cases, all asymptomatic, since the pandemic broke out in March last year.

Article continues after this advertisementHealth authorities said 91 of the recorded cases are classified as “local” while 40 “imported”.
“Local” COVID-19 patients are those without history of travel outside of the province prior to their validation as virus carrier while “imported” cases are those who got their infection outside of the province.
