CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The number of children being given additional vaccines for measles, rubella and polio in Central Luzon is “within target,” the Department of Health (DOH) said.
As of Feb. 3, or the third day of the supplemental immunization campaign in Central Luzon, at least 27.8 percent or 268,625 children aged nine to 59 months have received the measles and rubella vaccine, data obtained by the INQUIRER from the regional DOH office showed.
Oral polio vaccine was given to 27. 9 percent or 316, 632 kids aged zero to 59 months.
The regional DOH office seeks to vaccinate 967,997 children for measles and rubella (also known as German measles) and more than 1 million children for polio.
