Ricardo David should be sacked as BI chief

If President Noy sacked Magtanggol Gatdula as director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for the kidnapping of a Japanese national, he should also kick out Commissioner Ricardo David of the Bureau of Immigration for the escape of Kim Tae Dong, a Korean held by immigration for various crimes.

The principle of command responsibility should be invoked in both cases: Gatdula’s and David’s.

In the kidnapping of Noriyo Ohara, a P15-million ransom was reportedly involved.

But the amount is peanuts compared to the escape of Kim: $2 million down payment and P50 million final payment.

I have received several complaints from passengers of Cebu Pacific Airways who lost valuable items in their luggage or the entire luggage when they landed or checked in at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (Naia).

Something must be done about the rampant thievery at Naia 3.
