MANILA, Philippines — Grown your hair out during quarantine and have now finally decided to chop it?
The Makati Medical Center (MMC) on Wednesday announced it is looking for hair donors for cancer patients.
“Give your locks a purpose! Make a cancer patient smile by donating your hair at MakatiMed Cancer Center,” MMC’s post on its Facebook page reads.
According to MMC, the hair for donation should at least be nine inches long. It won’t matter if it’s straight, wavy, or curly as long as it is not chemically-treated.
MMC also said the cut hair should be bundled together by a ponytail, dried, and placed inside a zip lock or a resealable plastic bag, on which donors should write their personal details such as full name, contact number, and email address.
Interested donors may check out MMC’s official Facebook page or call MMC at (02) 8888 8999 for more details about its hair donation drive. Zac Sarao, Trainee
