MANILA, Philippines — More than 300 medical volunteers in Pasig City will receive an increase in their salary from P5,000 to P12,000 as they are expected to double their efforts amid the pandemic, City Mayor Vico Sotto said Tuesday.

“Mabigat ang katungkulan ng mga health center personnel natin, at madadagan pa ang responsibilidad nila. Kaya hindi sila dapat underpaid,” the mayor wrote in a Facebook post, adding that the health center personnel contributed to promoting the primary health care in the city.
