MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Tuesday an additional 1,583 cases of Covid-19, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 cases so far in the country to 528,853.
Data from the DOH showed that of the total count, 30,368 (5.7 percent of total cases) are active cases.
Meanwhile, another 39 recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of patients who have recovered from the disease to 487,611 (92.2 percent of total cases).
The death toll now stands at 10,874 (2.06 percent of total cases), with additional 67 fatalities reported by the health department.
According to DOH, a duplicate was removed from the total case count, while one case was found to have tested negative for Covid-19 and has since been removed from the tally.
Two cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as death after final validation.
The DOH said 13 laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Data Repository System on Monday.
Meanwhile, the DOH also said in its latest case bulletin that 59 percent of intensive care units beds, 65 percent of isolation beds, and 76 percent of ward beds in the country are still available.
