No LPA expected in 2 to 3 days, ‘amihan’ to prevail — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — No low – pressure area (LPA)  is expected to enter or develop within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in the next two to three days, while the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will prevail and bring cloudy skies with rains over most parts of the country, according to the state weather bureau.

“Para sa susunod na dalawa hanggang tatlong araw, wala tayong nakikitang anumang sama ng panahon na posibleng makaapekto sa loob ng ating PAR,” Meno Mendoza, weather specialist at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said in a 4a.m. weather update.

(For the next two or three days, we do not see any weather disturbance within the PAR.)

 Pagasa said Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao regions, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol region, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon.

 The northeast monsoon will likewise bring party cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, according to Pagasa.

 Metro Manila: 21 to 29 degrees Celsius

Baguio City: 11 to 22 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  18 to 29 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao City: 19 to 26 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Tagaytay City: 20 to 26 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius

Cebu City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius

Zamboanga City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Davao City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius
