MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “amihan” is expected to bring cloudy skies and rains as it affects the whole country, the weather bureau said Sunday.
Cloudy skies with rains will prevail over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 p.m. bulletin.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate with at times heavy rains, Pagasa added.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with light rains, with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains, with also no significant impact, Pagasa said.
Moderate to strong winds in the northeast direction will be experienced over Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern section of Mindanao, coupled with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal conditions.
