MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected over Eastern Visayas and parts of Luzon and Mindanao due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan”, the state weather bureau said Sunday.
In its early morning update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Northern Mindanao.
Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol region, Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains also due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
