Bacolod’s EOC recommends stricter rules on entry point from Panay, Guimaras

BACOLOD CITY — This city’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has recommended the tightening of rules on the entry of persons from Panay and Guimaras.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, EOC deputy officer for medical data and analysis, said there has been an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Iloilo.

They also took into account the need to take precautions against the new Covid-19 variant.

Sorongon said he recommended that persons entering Bacolod from Panay be required to present any government ID, a BacTrack ID, online health declaration form, letter of coordination with barangay in Bacolod City or LGU from outside of Bacolod City, and a Philippine National Police travel authority from LGU of origin.

The EOC has endorsed its recommendations to Mayor Evelio Leonardia and is waiting for his approval.
