Qualified foreigners may enter PH in February

/ 05:08 AM January 30, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — Qualified foreigners coming from countries with the new coronavirus variants will be allowed to enter the Philippines beginning February under certain conditions.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said spouses and children of Filipino citizens, foreigners with investor visas, and representatives of international organizations would be allowed entry provided they have valid visas, except for those who qualify under the Balikbayan program, and have prebooked accommodation for at least seven nights in an accredited quarantine hotel or facility.

On the sixth day from their date of arrival, they would be subjected to a COVID-19 test, he said. —LEILA B. SALAVERRIA
