44 drug suspects arrested in 31 buy-bust operations in Rizal province

LUCENA CITY—At least 44 drug suspects were arrested in the province of Rizal on Tuesday (Jan. 26) and Wednesday (Jan. 27).

Col. Joseph Arguelles, Rizal police chief, said in a report on Wednesday that the suspects were arrested in 31 buy-bust operations that also led to the confiscation of 22.1 grams of shabu, or crystal meth, estimated to be worth P152,696 based on Dangerous Drugs Board figures.

Policemen serving warrants of arrest took into custody 14 wanted criminals and five illegal gamblers.

Authorities also recovered three unlicensed firearms.
