BAGUIO CITY –– Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen of Bontoc town in Mountain Province on Monday said he has also contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a statement, Kabluyen said the result of his reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test came out on Sunday, Jan. 24.
He has asked those who came in contact with him in the last 14 days to contact the Bontoc municipal health office to facilitate their isolation and allow an extensive contact tracing.
Earlier on Jan. 15, Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey had also tested positive for the virus.
Bontoc is currently on localized lockdowns due to an outbreak of COVID-19 and its more contagious U.K. variant that has already infected at least 12 people. INQ
