CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Police on Sunday were still determining if a third party was involved in the killing of former vice mayor Jorge Perez Bustos III of Masantol, Pampanga and a certain Eric Villanueva Cariaga.
Bustos and Ciariag were found dead inside the office of the Blue Gems Security Agency in Angeles City at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Central Luzon police director.
De Leon ordered an “in-depth probe” into the incident.
Bustos, 46, is the younger brother of Patrol Partylist Rep. Bar Bustos.
Cariaga, a resident of Quezon City, worked as a financial advisor, an INQUIRER source in Masantol said.
The source said both work for the 7 Golden Chips, a lending company.
In a report, De Leon said the suspect was “unidentified.” Only one gun was found at the crime scene, the report stated. Three deformed fired bullets from a .45-caliber pistol were also found at the scene.
Autopsy and paraffin tests were done to know if the victims both fired guns and how they actually died, Col. Rommel Batangan, Angeles City police chief, said in a phone interview.
A security guard who discovered the bodies was considered a witness although he was taking a bath when he reported hearing two gunshots.
The police reported recovering security camera footage and two mobile phones as well, which are being examined.
