8 arrested in Quezon drug busts; shabu, marijuana seized

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested eight drug suspects here and seized over P88,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana on Saturday.
Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, identified the suspects as Rommel Oya, Marvin Etcubañas, Luis Salvacion IV, Arnold Rocela, Reynald Remos and his cousin Reynaldo, Jeffy Arevalo and brother Jechris.
Authorities confiscated a total of 34 sachets of shabu from Oya, Etcubañas, Salvacion and the Arevalo brothers in separate buy-bust operations in Barangays Ibabang Iyam, Ibabang Dupay and 10.
The Remos cousins yielded five sachets of dried marijuana leaves when collared in Barangay 10.
Police tagged Jechris and Salvacion as street-level drug pushers in the city
The illegal activities of the suspects were tipped off to the police by reformed drug users and concerned villagers.
The suspects will face a complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
