Boy, 9, wounded by air gun dies in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan–A nine-year-old boy was killed after he was accidentally shot in the head by one of his playmates with an air gun in Paombong town recently, police said.

In a belated report, Maj. Almer Eustaquio, Paombong police chief, said the boy died on Jan. 11 while being treated in a hospital.

The boy suffered a wound in the head when his 8-year-old playmate, also a boy, accidentally pulled the trigger of the airgun they were playing with. The gun was owned by the second boy’s uncle.

The boy who pulled the trigger is with his parents and no charges are in sight.
