PH’s Covid-19 infections now at 507,717 with 30,126 active cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines’ total number of Covid-19 cases is now at 507,717 as 1,783 new infections were recorded, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday.

There were also 500 new recoveries and 74 additional deaths, bringing the total to 467,456 and 10,116 respectively.

Of the total number, 30,126 are active cases, of which 84.8 percent are mild, eight percent are asymptomatic, 4.4 percent are critical, 2.5 percent are severe, and 0.40 percent are moderate.

The DOH noted that there were five duplicates, of which three were recoveries, that were removed from the total case count.

And there were 15 cases that were previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths after final validation,” the DOH said.
