Cops arrest CamSur teacher after search on his house produced 5 grams of meth

LEGAZPI CITY—A public school teacher was arrested after police searched his home in the town of Goa, Camarines Sur province and found shabu, or crystal meth, with an estimated value of P20,000.

Maj. Jeric Don Sadia, chief of the Goa police, said in a report that teacher Melvin Bumanglag, 48, was arrested in his house at the village of Tagongtong around 8 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 18).

Sadia said in his report that Bumanglag had been on the police list of drug suspects and classified as a high-value target.

Police seized eight sachets of meth weighing 5 grams in total.
