LEGAZPI CITY—Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bicol seized P102,000 in shabu, or crystal meth, from a drug suspect in San Andres town, Catanduanes province on Tuesday (Jan. 19).

Suspect Junar Avila, described by authorities as a high-value target and a resident of the village of Bislig, was arrested at home by government agents serving a search warrant past 4 a.m.

Cotton Atento, PDEA Bicol spokesperson, said agents found five sachets of meth weighing 15 grams in the house.

Avila is now detained and awaiting charges to be filed in a court in Virac, the Catanduanes capital.
