Village chief shot dead in Leyte town

ORMOC CITY –– A village chief was gunned down by a still unidentified assailant along the national highway in Barangay Bobonon, Alangalang town, Leyte on Tuesday morning.

Benjamin Padullion, 65, a resident of Barangay Cambahanon in Alangalang, was on his way home when shot at 7:50 a.m.

Police Capt. Arturo Salvacion, chief of Alangalang Police Station, said they were in hot pursuit of the perpetrator.
