Isabela logs 97 COVID-19 cases in 2 days

CITY OF ILAGAN –– Close to 100 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in the province of Isabela in the last two days and were traced mostly to local transmissions, officials said.

The 97 new COVID-19 infections were registered here and in the cities of Cauayan and Santiago. Other cases were recorded in the towns of Jones, Burgos, Ramon, Reina Mercedes, Cabatuan, Benito Soliven, and San Manuel.

Since the pandemic began, the province’s total COVID-19 cases had reached 3,787, with 3,240 recoveries and 60 deaths.

Some of the infected-patients were non-authorized persons outside the residence, health workers, and police.

The province is still under a modified general community quarantine.
