Proposed toll for newly opened Skyway 3 ranges from P110 to P274

MANILA, Philippines — The Skyway Stage 3 is proving itself useful in alleviating traffic and decongesting the main thoroughfares of Metro Manila.

While cruising through the 18-kilometer elevated expressway is free at the moment, San Miguel Corporation will start charging fees after Feb. 1.

Many motorists may wonder how much would it take to enjoy the benefit of Skyway 3. What will the price range looks like?

A document published by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) shows the proposed prices for Skyway Stage 3 toll, which could be as low as P110.

The document shows that those driving the short southern segment of the Skyway 3 (i.e. from Buendia to Quirino/Plaza Dilao/Plaza Azul), the proposed toll would be P110.

While those driving on the northern section of Skyway 3 (i.e. Quezon Ave to NLEX/Balintawak), motorists are expected to pay a toll of P133.

The proposed fee to traverse the full length of the Skyway 3 is at P274.

The document did not specifically say that the fees are for Class 1 vehicles.

The toll rate is still awaiting the final approval of the TRB.
