Cold front bring cloudy skies, rain in S. Luzon, Visayas–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and scattered rains as the tail-end of a cold front affects Southern Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.

In its latest forecast, Pagasa said that Eastern and Southern Luzon and the Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms. Skies will become cloudy with widespread rains over the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains, Pagasa warned.

Metro Manila will also experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, the state-run weather bureau said.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
