SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES — The Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) here has started mass testing after three of its cadets contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the virus-infected cadets, aged 25 to 29, showed symptoms of the disease and were being treated inside the NETC’s medical facility.
“As of now, 65 of the patients’ direct contacts underwent RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) tests. Contact tracing is ongoing,” Bueno told the Inquirer
The cases in the NETC raised the province’s COVID-19 tally to 765 as of Sunday. At least 721 of these were recoveries and 17 were fatalities.
