Pagasa’s Saturday weather forecast: Cloudy skies with a chance of rain

MANILA, Philippines —  Cloudy skies with possible rain showers are expected in most parts of the country on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 5 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the tail-end of the frontal system is currently affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” is affecting the rest of Luzon.

The tail-end of frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Bicol region and Samar provinces, weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The “amihan” will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, he added.

The rest of the country was forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

No weather disturbance is expected to enter the country within the next three days, Pagasa said.
