THE CEBU Eastern College Dragons underscored their intent for the title as they registered their second straight victory in the ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup 2012 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
The 16-under squad of CEC demolished SHS-AdC 2, 47-21, while their younger counterparts were also victorious after beating SHS-AdC B, 59-31, in the 13-under age class.
The 10-under division provided a close match with the University of San Carlos North edging sister team USC South, 21-19. CEC also bounced back from its opening day loss to USC South and tripped USJR, 11-8.
SHS-AdC A made up for the losses of its brother teams with a 38-23 win over University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) in the 13-under age group.
In Division B play, the Medellin Secondary Schools Sports Association (MSSSA) trounced the CVIRAA Grade School team, 58-20, in a 16-under matchup.
The ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup 2012 is a partnership between the Cebu Youth Basketball League and ThreeSixty Pharmacy.
Now on its fifth season, the CYBL-run tournament has drawn some 38 teams spread in three age groups. The next games will be played at the Don Bosco Gym. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
