BUSTOS, Bulacan –– Three people were found dead on the roadside in this town at dawn on Friday, Jan. 15, police said.

Investigators said the victims-two women and a man-were tied together and dumped on the road shoulder of the Plaridel Bypass in Barangay Malamig before 6 a.m.

Staff Sgt. Alvin Erickson Bersabe, Bustos police case investigator, said the two women were in their mid-20s and 40s, while the man was in his early 30s.

The police said each of the victims suffered a gunshot wound on their heads and could be victims of summary execution.

Citing witnesses, Bersabe said the unidentified suspects were on board a van and stopped in the area where they left the bodies.

Investigators recovered from the crime scene a face mask with the marking, “Lungsod ng Maynila,” and three spent shells for a still-unknown caliber.
