Zamboanga City cops arrest new drug dealer, seize P1.8M in meth
ZAMBOANGA CITY—A jobless man was arrested late on Thursday (Jan. 14) in a buy-bust operation that yielded some P1.8 million worth of crystal meth, police said.
Maj. Edwin Duco, spokesperson of the Zamboanga Peninsula regional police office, said the suspect, Nurbaser Abubakar Sakandal, 32, of the village of Campo Islam here, was caught in possession of three plastic sachets of meth worth an estimated P1.8 million.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at the village of Tetuan after police identified Sakandal as one of the new drug dealers in the city.
Authorities also seized Sakandal’s bag where boodle money used for the buy-bust operation was found.
Sakandal is currently in the custody of the Zamboanga City police.
