2 more gov’t workers positive for coronavirus in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Two more government workers have tested positive for SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in Zambales on Thursday (Jan. 14), raising the province’s tally to 757.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the new cases were those of a 33-year old woman who works as a nurse in a public hospital and a 31-year-old man who works as a mechanic in a government office.

Both were tested on Wednesday and results were positive for coronavirus. It was not immediately known how the two contracted the virus.

The province has 19 COVID-19 cases left after 720 patients had recovered. It has 17 fatalities since 2020.
