2 drug suspects fall in Quezon, P300K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY –Police seised an estimated  P300,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm from two drug suspects during in a buy-bust operation early Monday morning.
Colonel Ericson Dilag, Quezon police chief,  said anti-narcotic operatives nabbed Armando Armiendo, 45 and tagged as a former leader of a local drug group bearing his name, and his associate, Jofren Padilla, 35, after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer accompanied by an asset in a drug deal in Barangay  9 at around 12:30 a.m.
Confiscated were 16 grams of shabu in six sachets, a loaded 12-gauge homemade shotgun and a motorcycle.
Reformed drug users in the city tipped off the suspects’ drug activities to the police.
The suspects are facing a complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
