UP launches online admissions portal

MANILA, Philippines — Incoming college freshmen can now submit their applications to the University of the Philippines (UP) after the state university launched its online admissions portal in the absence of a college admission test.

Through upadmissionsonline.up.edu.ph, incoming freshmen students will know the requirements and instructions on admissions.

Applicants will also be directed to the portal from this site. For 2021-2022, the state university said it would forgo its admission test due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, it will determine the admission grade of an applicant based on his/her final grades in Grade 8, 9, 10 and the first semester of Grade 11.

Some programs may ask for further requirements. Deadline for filing of applications is on Feb. 15. —Nikka G. Valenzuela
