MANILA, Philippines — The government of Israel has given 500 caregiver slots for Filipinos this year, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said Thursday
According to POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia, the allotment is based on the bilateral labor agreement for the deployment of Filipino caregivers between the Philippines and Israel.
“Meron pong quota na ibinigay ang bansang Israel na naayon sa ating bilateral labor agreement for the deployment of Filipino caregivers to Israel. Five hundred caregivers slots po ang ating pupunan ngayon taon na ito,” Olalia said in a televised Laging Handa Public Briefing.
Those interested to apply may register online through poea.gov.ph, Olalia said.
Israel’s Ministry of Interior has allowed the entry and re-entry of foreign workers in the caregiving sector, including Filipino caregivers, who were not able to return to Israel due to the travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.
