Former Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali passes away at 63
MANILA, Philippines — Former Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali passed away Thrusday at the age of 63 due to cardiac arrest.
Incumbent Oriental Mindoro Rep. Alfonso Umali said his brother was diagnosed with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) back in December 2020.
In the same month, Rep. Alfonso said his brother was diagnosed with Stage 3 liver cancer which eventually worsened to Stage 4.
“Magmula noon dire-diretso na siya. December 21 na-ICU na siya e. Around December 26 na-intubate na. Tapos dire-diretso. Nagkaroon na ng complication. Tinatanggalan na ng tubig sa baga, bumababa blood pressure. Na-intubate siya dahil yung kanyang oxygen level,” the congressman said in an interview on DZBB.
“Kahapon nakakakita ng bacteria sa kanyang liver. Ngayong umaga, bumaba na ang dugo niya tapos nag-cardiac arrest kaninang umaga,” he added.
