Ayala Land official takes witness stand in impeachment trial
MANILA, Philippines – An official of the Ayala Land was called to take the witness stand by the prosecution team on Wednesday in connection with a condominium unit in Ayala allegedly owned by Chief Justice Renato Corona and wife, Cristina.
Nerissa Josef, assistant vice president of Ayala Land, will be examined by private prosecutor Winston Ginez.
At the start of her testimony, Josef produced to the Senate, sitting as an impeachment court, an original copy of contract to sell between the Community Innovations Inc. and Cristina involving a 48-square meter condominium unit in The Columns amounting to P3, 588, 931.
The property was not allegedly declared in Corona’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth.
