Skyway Stage 3 closed from Jan. 6 – Jan. 7

MANILA, Philippines — The Skyway Stage 3 elevated expressway, which opened last year, will be temporarily closed starting this Wednesday night until Thursday, Jan. 7.

In its advisory posted on Twitter, Skyway O&M Corp. announced that the 18-kilometer Skyway Stage 3 would be closed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting Jan. 6 to Jan. 7 because of “construction-related activities.”

“We apologize for the temporary inconvenience,” read the tweet.

The San Miguel Corp. previously said four lanes of the Skyway would be initially opened last Dec. 29, 2020, while seven lanes will be usable by Jan. 14 this year.

The Skyway Stage 3 connects the North Luzon Expressway and South Luzon Expressway, reducing the travel time between Balintawak in Quezon City and Magallanes in Makati City to  15 minutes from two hours. [ac]
