San Juan City residents urged to register for free COVID-19 vaccination

MANILA, Philippines — Residents of San Juan City may now register online or through their barangays to receive free coronavirus vaccine shots.

In a Facebook post on Monday, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said residents who want to receive the vaccines may register in their respective barangay halls or health centers.

They may also register online through San Juan City’s COVID-19 Vaccination Online Registration Form.

“Kasalukuyang nakikipag-usap ang ating pamahalaang lungsod sa National Government at sa mga Pharmaceutical Companies upang tayo ay makakuha ng bakuna,” Zamora said in the post.

Zamora recently announced that the city council has signed an ordinance allocating P50 million for the procurement of vaccines.

Aside from San Juan, other local governments declared their financial readiness to help their constituents survive the pandemic with the cities of Manila and Makati setting aside at least P1 billion each for the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccines.
