CABANATUAN CITY — Three people, including two minors, were hurt in firecracker-related incidents during the New Year celebration in separate places in Nueva Ecija, police said.
The two young victims, aged 8 and 10, are residents of Bongabon town and San Jose City.
The other victim, 28, is also a resident of San Jose City.
Police said the three suffered injuries from “kwitis,” an authorized type of firecracker.
A box containing assorted firecrackers was also found in Barangay Rizdelis here on Thursday afternoon, police said.
