MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health recorded 1,765 new coronavirus infections on Friday, raising the country’s caseload to 475,820.

Of the total cases, 26,677 were considered active cases, according to the DOH’s daily case bulletin.

Majority or 81.9% of the active cases have mild symptoms, 9.8% are asymptomatic, 2.7% are having severe symptoms, while 5.1% are in critical condition.

The DOH also logged 106 new recoveries and four fatalities, bringing the total to 439,895 and 9,248, respectively.

Davao City registered the most number of new infections with 100 cases, followed by Rizal (99), Cavite (71), Quezon City (70), and Manila City (69).

DOH said it removed nine duplicates from the total case count, seven of which are recovered cases.

Eight labs were not able to submit their data on Dec. 31, the health department added.
