Inquirer executive Noli Navarro; 49
Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Noli Trinidad Navarro, assistant vice president (AVP) for information technology and prepress, passed away on Wednesday due to complications arising from an aneurysm he had two months ago. He was 49 years old.
He is survived by his wife Zaire and their four children, Zharina Nicole, Nicolas Zyan, Zhannen Nollene and Noel Zsean.
A graduate of Computer Science at the Emilio Aguinaldo College in Manila, Navarro has been with the Inquirer for 24 years. Since 1996, he worked as officer in charge of the IT department and editorial computer system before he was named AVP just this August.
Navarro spearheaded the Inquirer’s shift to the use of content management systems which was recently upgraded to boost the newspaper’s internal capability to create, edit and publish its stories.
Navarro also spent his high school years at the Paco Catholic School in Manila.
Article continues after this advertisementAccording to his family, Navarro’s wake will be held for three days starting on Thursday at the Holy Trinity Memorial Chapels in Sucat, Parañaque City.
