Lapu to host OPBF title fight Feb. 19

ADONIS ‘TI Yamagata’ Aguelo will defend his Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title against Renan Branzuela of Bukidnon on Feb. 19 at the Barangay Basak Gym in Lapu-Lapu City.

Aguelo (15W-7L-1D, 9 KOs), who hails from Maasin City, fights out of the TI Gym of Mandaue City. He won his title last Sept. 15, 2011 in Siquijor by beating Jake Verano by 4th round TKO in a fight card covered by Cebu Daily News.

Branzuela (13W-11L, 5 KOs) lost to Genesis Servania and Richard Betos last year before bouncing back with a unanimous decision victory over Godwin Tubigon.

Also set to see action is Masashi Tada of Yamagata, Japan who will face Junior Salvador of Mandaue City in a six rounder. Roemart ‘TI Yamagata’ Sentillas will be pitted against Romnick Magos in fight scheduled for ten rounds.

Appearing in the preliminaries are TI Valero vs. Erwin Pulvera (8 rounds), TI Yamagata Boyosi vs. Jovan Munoz (4 rounds), and Rajah Renoel Pael vs. Lyndel Radoc (6 rounds).
