Another justice sues journalist for libel over book on Supreme Court

Journalist Marites Vitug who earlier wrote an article questioning the academic credentials of Chief Justice Renato Corona, is facing a libel complaint from another Supreme Court justice.

Associate Justice Presibitero Velasco Jr. sued Vitug for libel at the Manila Regional Trial Court, alleging that she made “false, malicious and offensive insinuations” against him in her book “Shadow of Doubt.” Jaymee T. Gamil
