PNP’s COVID-19 infections rise to 8,935; active cases at 347

MANILA, Philippines — The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) within the ranks of Philippine National Police (PNP) has reached 8,935, according to a post from its official Facebook page.

The PNP said that as of 6 p.m. on Monday, December 27, its Health Service recorded that of the total number of cases, 347 are active infections while 27 patients have died. 

There are also 32 new recoveries among police members, bringing the total to 8,561.

The Department of Health on Monday reported  469,886 COVID-19 cases in the country so far, including 438,678 recoveries, 9,109 deaths, and 22,099 active cases.
