2 suspects in kidnapping case arrested in Quezon

MANILA, Philippines — Two suspects wanted for kidnapping were arrested by joint forces of the National Capital Region Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (NCR-CIDU) and Tiaong police in Quezon on Thursday, reports reaching Camp Crame said Friday.

The operation, led by Police Senior Inspector Rommel Macatlang, Police Inspector Emiliano Camana, and Police Superintendent Joriz Cantoria, arrested Kang Sang Chan and Chun De Wong, identified as Korean nationals, for the alleged kidnapping and serious illegal detention of a Kim Kyungsod, the report said.

The suspects were arrested inside Neogem farm in Cabatang village Tiaong Quezon.

A caliber .45 pistol with two magazines loaded with 13 live ammunition, one pineapple type hand grenade one steel round bar, two bamboos and a photocopy of the receipt of a Toyota Avanza with plate number PII-267 which the victims were using when they were abducted were seized from the suspects, said the report.
