SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES—A couple in Sta. Cruz town has tested positive for SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and infected five other members of their family, according to officials here on Wednesday (Dec. 23).
It was not immediately known how the couple contracted the virus but they were believed to have infected their daughters, aged 21 and 14, said Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director.
The couple also infected three other members of the family, including their mother, sister and brother.
As of Tuesday (Dec. 22), Zambales has a total of 728 COVID-19 cases, with 680 recoveries and 13 fatalities.
