President to sign P4.5-T 2021 budget on Monday

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte will sign into law the P4.5-trillion national budget act for 2021 on Monday, according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

“It was clarified yesterday (Monday) that the signing of the budget will be on the 28th and it will be done in Davao,” Roque told a press briefing on Tuesday.

The Palace official said five representatives each from the Senate and the House will attend the signing ceremony. Roque earlier said the budget law would be scrutinized to see if there were objectionable line items that the President would have to veto. —Jerome Aning
