MANILA, Philippines — Some 27,0000 displaced tourism workers in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) have been endorsed by the Department of Tourism (DOT) to receive cash assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat said the DOT-CAR had endorsed 932 tourism enterprises and organizations as program recipients, with 26,972 beneficiaries.

The DOLE-CAR has already approved 10,555 applications, with the remaining 16,417 applications currently being processed.

About P134.86 million would have been disbursed if all applications were deemed approved. —Tina G. Santos
